56 persons have been granted mobility funding in this year’s second application round for The Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture.
Altogether 220 applications were submitted, and have now been evaluated by the expert group. The total amount of granted funding was 148 501 euro. Grants were given to projects within several art forms, three biggest being visual arts (23 projects), dance (15) and theatre field (11). The funding is given for a visit of max seven days, and is based on fixed rates for each destination country.
Mobility support is one of three parts in the programme. The programme also supports network building and artists’ residency centres. With these activities the programme makes it possible for artists and culture professionals to visit and work in other countries in the Nordic-Baltic region.
The programme is financed jointly by The Nordic Council of Ministers and the governments in the three Baltic states.
The next application round for mobility support is 5 August – 3 September 2009.
