The programme will from now on support both the professionals and the amateurs from all the fields of art and culture. The final criteria and possible restrictions will be published in the beginning of February. The programme got also a new name: Culture and Art Programme.

The other application criteria will remain unchanged. The programme period has been prolonged for two years. Therefore the new criteria will apply for the following two-year period 2010-2011.

The changes apply only to Culture and Art Progamme. Mobility Programme continues to fund only professionals within the fields of art and culture.

The adjustments are the result of an evaluation of the programme which has taken place during 2009. In 2010 the programme will go through a more thorough evaluation where the new structure and the distribution of support will be evaluated according to the programme objectives.

The first expert group had a mandate period of three years, and it expired on 1 January 2010. A new group of experts will now be appointed for the next three-year period.

Art and Culture Programme and Mobility Programme were established in 2007 as three year frame programmes. 2009 was the last year of this first three-year period.
